Setting up your Redbrick Outlook Add-In.

Fully open any email and in your ribbon, click "Send to Redbrick PM"

If not already open, Click "Related Matters"

Click the "..." next to Search For

This defines what you are searching the email for

This will depend on your preferences, for example if you are using an integrated accounts system such as Klyant or Quill its worth leaving this ticked. The more you leave ticked the longer it will take to search the email - especially if its a long chain.

Generally the ones that create the best matches are;

Accounts References, Filtered Subject Line, Manual Search Data and UCRNs

Click "OK" to save your preferences.

Click the "..." next to Search In

Everything that was found in the previous search the add in will now search your database for. This section defines where in the database it will search - depending on the size of your database it usually quicker to filter these to the best areas to search.

Case Filtered Addresses, Accounts/Case References and UCRNs generally give you the best results.

Other Parties is one most people will disable. If it does find another party that matches, the chances are it will be on many cases so may present too many results.

click OK and then Close

Your outlook add in is now customised and the next time your click "Send to Redbrick PM" the results should be more accurate and quicker.

As you get used to the system its worth playing with these settings to set them up the best way for you.
