Redbrick users with integration to Quill can post fees and
disbursements directly from the Redbrick billing screen into Quill instead of
duplicating your bill in Quill. This saves time spent duplicating data entry and
help reduce errors.
Setting Up
This should be done by a Redbrick Administrator
Go to Options -> Matter Types -> [expand required
matter type] -> Billing -> Our Costs
First set the column for Accounts Description and Accounts
Value by right clicking the column header
When you right click on a cell you will see the Set Account
Data option:
The Cell Account Data window allows you to select the type
of item (Fee / Expense / Disbursement), enter a default reference and
description and set the vat rate:
Where fees are concerned, you can also select a Quill Fee
Earner from the dropdown for where the fee will go, the default being the Matter
Fee Earner:

The Billing screen will look something like this:-
Any cells linked to Quill accounts will have a coloured flag in the
top left corner.
When you are ready to produce the bill, you will see a button
on the Billing screen called Create Bill in Quill Interactive:
On selecting the Create Bill button, if you have not logged into
Quill Interactive that day you will be shown the login screen:
If you cancel the login box you will be shown the following
message:
After you have logged in, or if you have already logged into Quill,
you will then see the Post to Quill window. If you are set up to select what
items to post, you will see the following window:
You then tick the items that you want to post as a bill to Quill
Select OK to post
If your system has not been setup to select what items to post, the
screen you will see is all items to be posted with no tick boxes
To view or override the fee earner that a fee will go to you can click
the three dots at the end of the row. This will let you review and amend the transaction data before posting

Select OK to post
Once you have selected OK to post the bill to Quill, this will then
create an E-Chit in the Money area of Quill
Accounts users can log into Quill and deal with the E-Chit in the
normal way
