With the Quill time recording integration you
can:
· save time recording entries into Quill
· update amended time recording entries into
Quill
Setup (by Administrators)
You will need to ensure the time recording rates in
Quill are the same as the time recording rates in Redbrick
(Options -> Users and Groups -> [select user] -> Fee Rates)
Within each Matter Type there is the option to add a preferred
default Subject and Note by adding text and/or tokens to the Time Posting
Subject and Time Posting Notes fields:
Posting a Time Entry
If you are time recording in Redbrick, on
saving your time recording entry you will be shown a Quill login screen for
you to enter your Quill user accounts details.
You only be shown this login screen once a day
on your initial time recording activity, you will then stay logged in for 18
hours.
When you are logged into Quill you will then
see the following Quill window popup for a few seconds and then disappear each
time you are recording time against a Matter.
Below shows a document added to
Redbrick:
The same document shows in Quill below. You will see the Document Name, the Quill
Attendance Code and the Units amount from Redbrick.
The actual Time and Cost is calculated by Quill by the time recording rates set in Quill
Adjusting a Time Entry
If the initial time recording of the Document
is edited in Redbrick, for example updating the units to 5 units, it will
display as 5 units in Redbrick against the Document:
In Quill you will see that the initial time
recording will also be updated to now show 5 units:
Additional Time Entry
When you add an additional time entry to the
Documents in Redbrick, shown below as adding 1 unit, it will also be shown in
Quill as a separate entry.
You will see an entry with the same Document
details and 1 unit.
Deleting a Time Entry
When you delete a time recording entry against
a Document from Redbrick it will also delete that entry from Quill.
Before deleting the time recording in Redbrick
against the Document ‘Letter authorising Exchange’, it will show in Quill
as:
When deleted you will see the entry removed
from Quill:
