Progress Messages Set Up (Administrator)

An administrator can set progress message task triggers in Options > [Matter Type] > Tasks

In doing so, the content of the message can also be set. There is also the ability to add tokens, so that information in the database can be automatically dropped in to the message. Examples may include your Firm Name, the name(s) of the clients, or date a task was ticked.

Notes
There are lots of tokens to chose from. Try searching searching the Help Centre for 'Template Editor tool' to see a selection of some of the most common ones.

Ticking a task with a progress message trigger will automatically send the message to the contact details stored against the client, with no prompt to the user first.

A dialogue box will open showing what has been sent and by what method (in the example below both send by SMS and send by email were ticked).

Warning
If neither of the 'Send progress text (SMS) messages' or 'Send progress email messages' communication preferences have been ticked against the client, nothing will happen.

As with any other task trigger, it is also possible to set conditional logic so that the progress messages only fire if certain criteria are met.
