Attach existing Sale/Purchase Matters and unlink existing joint Matters

Attach existing Sale/Purchase Matters and unlink existing joint Matters

It is possible to retrospectively link (attach) sale and purchase matters if they were created as unlinked files, and/or break a link between existing joint sale and purchase matters should one of them fall through. You can also use the 'Attach' functionality to create a new matter.

Attaching Existing Matters

From the Find screen, search for the matter. Right-click or click on the blue menu bar at the top of the filters, click 'Attach' and select Existing Matter.

A new window will open up which is used to search for other matters where the Client, Fee Earner and Partner are identical.  Whilst you can search for a particular matter, the 'Show All' button will display any matters which can be linked to the one you highlighted in the Find Screen - this is often the quickest way to identify the correct one to attach/link. If the system cannot find a matter available, it will give you a message advising this. A window then opens with the matter selected ready for you to 'Select'
